When Maritimo released the Maritimo 48 at the 2006 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, no one in the company anticipated what an incredible success they had created.
Within two-years, the Maritimo 48 had confirmed itself as the best-selling ‘big boat’ in Australian boating industry history!
While the accommodation areas remain unchanged, with three excellent staterooms and an expansive saloon featuring the Maritimo ‘trademark’, the delightful staircase to the flying bridge, the Sky Lounge version feature an extra 600mm ‘verandah’ aft of the ‘bridge. The Maritimo 52 actually started out to be the Maritimo 50 and it was a result of Bill Barry-Cotter’s constant ‘tinkering’, his never-ending search of efficiency, that led to the 50 becoming a 52.
Like its ‘stablemates’, the Maritimo 52 is perfectly described as “ a luxurious, long-range cruiser”, offering its owner and guests safety, space, comfort and convenience.
As has been the case with other flying bridge models in the range, the Maritimo 52 is now offered in the innovative Sky Lounge version which has become an instant winner with consumers. Find out more about the Maritimo 52...
The all-new Maritimo 56 to be launched at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show will herald a slightly new era for the Maritimo Cruising Motor Yacht range. For a start, the new 56 will be the first Maritimo not to sport the trademark ‘wings’ on the flybridge. Further, the new 56 will have a sleeker look with a more raked bow and a slightly longer flybridge.
However, the new 56 will be distinctly Maritimo in many other ways. The internal staircase to the flybridge, the big walkaround decks, the nine-degree shaft angles are all trademark Maritimo features that are retained in this stunning new vessel.
It has been said that only Bill Barry-Cotter could establish a yard, design and build a boat and win the Australian Marine Industries Federation honours as Cruiser of the Year and all-round Australian Boat of the Year.
That’s exactly what Bill did with the powerful, long-range luxury motor yacht, the Maritimo 60 in 2005.
This most majestic of Maritimos has gone from strength to strength in ensuing years and remains today one of the most desirable craft available, achieving sales across Australia and around the world.
The Maritimo 73 weighs in at 52 tonnes, stretches the tape out to more than 24 metres, boasts a beam that exceeds the overall length of substantial trailer boats and is destined to send the competition ducking for cover.
The Maritimo 73’ Sky Lounge is the largest vessel ever built by the company and is scheduled to be unveiled to the world at the 2009 Sydney International Boat Show.
Everything about this massive craft, let’s call it a ship, is BIG. Her standard power is a pair of massive Caterpillar C32 marine diesels, each generating a thundering 1550 horsepower each.
