Bill King first opened Compass Point Yachts in December 1992 in Seattle, Washington. Bill and his wife Michelle, have since relocated to Newport Beach opening an office on the Mariners Mile along with Chris Elliott, who has worked with Bill and Michelle for over seven years and is an important member of the Compass Point Yachts family.

We are proud to be the California dealers for Maritimo Yachts long-range luxury cruisers, built and designed by Australia's most awarded boat builder Bill Barry-Cotter. Maritimo Yachts are available in 48' to 70' models.

Bill King: Bill King has been involved in yachting since 1982 and decided in 1988 to trade a successful career as vice president of marketing for a local manufacturing company for the powerboat sales business.

Bill served as President of the Northwest Yacht Brokers Association in 1993 and Chairperson on the committee that established for the first time a manual on sales tax for yacht sales and charter sales with the State of Washington. Since Bill has been in the yacht sales business he has been involved with or a dealer for some of the worlds best yachting brands such as Ocean Alexander, Tiara, Viking, Hatteras, Grand Banks, Luhrs, Mainship, Viking Sport Cruisers, Cheoy Lee and his own brand, Compass Yachts. Bill truly understands what it takes to satisfy a customer wanting to buy, sell or build a new yacht.

She joined the crew at Compass Point Yachts in Seattle to work with her husband Bill King in 1998. Michelle served as Treasurer of the Northwest Yacht Brokers Association and chair of the Boat Show Committee for NYBA for four years.

Contact: mking@cpyachts.com 		Chris Elliott: Born in Newport Beach, CA, Chris Elliott has been in and around the boating industry for his entire life. His mother was part owner of a yacht manufacturer and his father was a yacht broker / dealer. This provided Chris the opportunity to work and learn the manufacturing and sales sides of the boating industry. His mother says to this day "Chris has fiberglass in his veins".

Chris is an avid fisherman and certified diver, who has logged thousands of hours at the helm. Chris knows fishing and is the “go-to-guy” for the new Maritimo 555, a classic battlewagon designed to target big game fishing. Finding the right boat for his customers is very important to him, and with many years of experience and vast knowledge of boating, Chris will make finding the right boat a pleasant experience.
